Couples who train together stay together….

Last week for my Twitter Follow Friday, I mentioned quite a few fitness couples. Every single couple I mentioned, I completely respect and love. I love the fact that they train together and motivate each other to work out and eat right and it’s great they can both have the same passion and energy for health and fitness.

The reason for this blog is because I have recently seen a few girls chatting on Twitter about how they would only date a guy if he went to the gym.

Obviously a lot of this is just banter and images like these do make me giggle but some of the conversations were serious. Whilst I totally agree it’s amazing if you can find a partner who enjoys the same things as you, I do not think this is everything. I witnessed one girl writing how she would never date a guy from the gym if he was skinnier than her/ couldn’t lift as much as her because she would be embarrassed. I know that everyone has their own types and maybe she only fancies big muscly guys but surely she wants more from a partner than just how much he is able to lift?

I have previously dated one of Britain’s top power lifters as well as professional sportsmen who take eating clean and training dirty extremely seriously. Ultimately this is their career and where they make their money. Whilst it was great to be able to talk about the gym and share similar goals, we lacked conversation in pretty much every other area!

My boy at the moment has absolutely no interest in the gym whatsoever but he supports me 1 million percent in my goals and what I am training to achieve, he may think I am slightly obsessed and addicted to the gym but he loves everything about me and would never ask me to change. OK i may be missing out on training with my partner but every other thing is just perfect!

So all you girlies moaning that you are single and cannot find the one, maybe you should broaden your search and give the non gym goers a chance too because in my opinion as long as they support your goals and believe in you 100% that is all that matters.

Happy Christmas to you all

Baked Egg Recipe

As you may be aware I am vegetarian and eat a lot of eggs! Eggs are quite versatile, you can have them scrambled, fried, boiled, poached but they do still get boring!

So I found this recipe and it’s quite yummy so I thought I would share with ya all.

  • Coconut Oil
  • Sliced Mixed Peppers
  • 1 Garlic Clove, finely chopped
  • Chilli powder
  • Small amount of Chopped tomatoes/passata
  • Pinch of paprika
  • 1 egg
  • Asparagus and brocolli to serve
  1. Preheat the oven to about 180
  2. Lightly oil a non stick pan. Cook the peppers until softened. Add the garlic and chilli powder. Add the chopped tomatoes and cook until a thick paste.
  3. Pour the mixture into a 9×9 ramekin. Make a hole in the centre of the dish and crack an egg into the hole. Bake for around ten to fifteen minutes until the egg whites are cooked through.
  4. Serve with asparagus and brocolli
